In 2008 Kellie FC was founded in Freetown Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone suffered 10 years of civil war leaving many youths jobless, hopeless, uneducated and unemployed. Kellie FC was created as a vehicle to give these youths an opportunity to achieve something in life and learn skills that they otherwise would not have had the opportunity to learn.
Football can be seen as a way of providing a useful approach in creating an environment in which people can come together to: work towards the same goal, show respect for others and share space and equipment. All these aspects are crucial to peace-building processes.
The club attracts young Sierra Leoneans between the ages of 14 and 25 and is registered in a professional league in Sierra Leone (Division 2) (WAFA Certified) & (SLFA). (Tel: 232-22-241473 (email: wafa@freetown.net)
To improve the quality of the club and to help boost the confidence of the team players, the club is looking for sponsors who will be able to provide football team kits and training facilities, e.g. Beeps, boots, socks, water bottles, training cons, tracksuits, shorts, gloves, trainers and shin-guards, goal nets, corner flags, etc. In return the club is willing to promote your organisation or company with your logo or name on the football shirts. We would appreciate it if you could assist us in helping to change the lives of the future Sierra Leoneans.
